my new job

Have you ever stumbled into your kitchen to make coffee on a monday morning and thought to yourself "I wish I could do something completely different from my job"?

Just to experience something new? For a little bitty taste of what else is out there?

My new job has been that new taste of a different industry.

Ever since I was the ripe age of 14, I have been working in the food industry.
Local coffee shop
Starbucks
Whole Foods
The Girl and the Fig
Random catering gigs
Working in the campus restaurants...

I was ready for a little change. A job where I could dress like a girl, smell nice and be home by a decent hour.

It is my attempt to become a Renaissance woman.

I could not have asked for a better place to experience a new type of industry.

It is an absolutely gorgeous store filled with cards, gifts, stationary, accessories, perfumes...the list is endless. The owners of the store are two beautiful women with perfect eyes for adorable merchandise.

Ladies and gents, I now work as a salesgirl.

This past weekend was my first official weekend. I wore a dress, smiled, gave customers feedback on a pair of earrings, helped someone pick out the perfect pen and smelled like Tocca - Cleopatra (they sell my favorite perfume! I had to buy it immediately after seeing it).

I love my new job. I can not wait to go back :) I also can't wait to bake and cook goodies for all the ladies that work there too. I finally have someone, other than Tyler, to cook for!

I quick peak at my breakfast this morning. Just for fun.

I made a big batch of steel cut oats with flax seeds this weekend for the week. I sprinkled a little cinnamon, agave and almond milk on top of this bowl.
